From garden dimensions to bags of mulch

Why does the order include extra material?
A 15.2-bag calculation requires 16 whole bags. Bulk orders may also have a minimum or an increment. The calculator shows the material above your purchase target separately from an optional allowance.
Can I measure an irregular bed?
Divide it into non-overlapping rectangles, circles, or triangles, then add each piece as an area. See the measuring guide for examples.
What depth should I enter?
Use the depth appropriate to your site, material, and supplier’s installation instructions. This calculator measures volume; it does not determine a horticultural recommendation.
